LGBTQIA+ Services and Gender Affirming Care Resources

Provider Resources
A primary care physician (PCP) is a health care provider who serves as the first point of contact
for your care. Your PCP provides a wide range of health services. These include:
• Preventive care.
• Identifying and treating serious and ongoing health concerns.
• Management of chronic conditions.

People who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer have unique health issues and needs. Molina can connect you with a provider who understands you as an individual and a

Gender Affirming Care Resources

Molina covers the following for our members:

• Puberty blocking agents (prior authorization or PA is required). Your primary care
   physician (PCP) must get permission from Molina ahead of time.
• Hormone therapy (there are many options. All ages. No PA required).
•Behavioral health services. This includes counseling, inpatient and outpatient care, 24/7
   Nurse Advice Line.
• Prescription medication

 If you are 13-20 years old, you are welcome here if you want or need to. Hang out at a safe place, eat a hot meal, meet people, talk to someone, get food from the pantry, do laundry, take a shower, use computers & phones, play games, get toiletries, get more info or help, or talk to a job coach. Just drop in when we’re open.

 The Drop-in Center is a safe place for Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans* and Questioning Young People ages 13-30. It’s a place to simply be themselves and have a space to hang out with one another. They have access to safer sex supplies, hot dinners, food-to-go, beauty kit, computer lab and free printing, free laundry room, case management, open clothes closet, peer support groups, ping pong table, dance floor, help with applications, resume and forms. The Ruth Ellis Center also provides sex trafficking survivor support and rapid re-housing assistance.
